The retreat we couldn’t find—so we created it.
How It Began
IGNITE began with a simple idea: Reiki retreat experiences should be accessible.
I wanted to attend a Reiki retreat—to step away from everyday life, immerse myself in Reiki, learn, connect with other practitioners, and experience what could happen when people intentionally gathered together. But the retreats I found were far away, expensive, or both.
Why can’t we have something like that right here in Texas?
That turned into years of research, conversations, planning, and dreaming. I talked with other Reiki practitioners and people in the spiritual community about what they would want from a retreat and their experiences in running retreats.
In 2023, IGNITE Reiki Retreat became real.
It wasn’t created to be an exclusive luxury getaway. It was created to be an affordable, welcoming Reiki retreat right here in Texas—a place where people could learn, practice, rest, explore, and connect without needing an enormous travel or retreat budget to do it.
We’ve been growing and changing ever since.
Five Retreats. One Continuing Journey.
2023 – A Journey Through Self-Healing
Where it all began.
The first IGNITE brought the idea to life: an affordable Reiki retreat in Texas built around learning, practice, connection, and community.
An unexpected lesson in adaptability.
Our second year brought us together again—and then brought a winter storm. What was supposed to be a full retreat became an exercise in flexibility as temperatures dropped and we ultimately made the decision to end the retreat early so everyone could get home safely.
2025 – Unleashing the Power Within
IGNITE returned with new energy, new experiences, and a focus on recognizing and stepping into the strength we already carry.
2026 – Sacred Feminine Rising
Our fourth year invited us to explore the sacred feminine in its many forms while continuing to deepen the Reiki, learning, and community at the heart of IGNITE.
2027 – The Alchemy of Change
And now IGNITE itself is changing. A new home. A new level of comfort. New possibilities. And the same invitation we’ve offered from the beginning: come together, explore, connect, and see what happens.
What IGNITE Is About
More Than a Reiki Retreat
Reiki may be what brought IGNITE into being, but the retreat has grown into something larger.
IGNITE is a place to learn without having to know everything, explore without being told what you must believe, and connect without having to become someone else first.
We believe there is value in bringing together people with different levels of experience, different spiritual paths, different practices, and different perspectives. Sometimes we teach. Sometimes we learn. Often, we do both.
There is Reiki here, of course. But there is also nature, creativity, spirituality, laughter, ritual, conversation, rest, ridiculous late-night moments, quiet mornings, new friendships, and space to discover something you weren’t expecting.

ACCESSIBLE
IGNITE was created because retreat experiences shouldn’t require an enormous budget or a trip across the world.
INCLUSIVE
You don’t need a particular identity, spiritual path, Reiki lineage, or level of experience to belong here.
EXPLORATORY
We invite curiosity rather than prescribe answers. Participate in what resonates, ask questions, try something new, and pass on what doesn’t.

Who’s Behind IGNITE?
Meet Lopsi
IGNITE was founded and is organized by Lopsi, a Reiki practitioner and teacher who spent years wishing there were an affordable Reiki retreat closer to home—and eventually decided to create one.
What began as an idea for a retreat has grown into an annual community built with the help of teachers, volunteers, friends, and participants who bring their own knowledge, energy, curiosity, and wonderfully different perspectives to the weekend.
IGNITE may have started with one person’s idea, but it has never been created by one person alone.
