OUR NEW HOME

Cleburne State Park

Same connection to nature. A little more comfort.

Cleburne, Texas

A New Chapter for IGNITE

For four years, IGNITE meant tents, campfires, Texas heat, and making a temporary home together in the outdoors.

In 2027, we’re carrying that spirit somewhere new.

Cleburne State Park gives us the nature and connection we love—with trails to explore, water nearby, shared gathering spaces, and something we’re especially excited about: air-conditioned lodging and real beds.

We’ll still unplug. We’ll still gather. We’ll still learn, laugh, practice Reiki, spend time outside, and probably stay up later than we intended.

We’re just doing it with a roof over our heads this time.

The setting is changing. The heart of IGNITE isn’t.

Where You’ll Sleep

Goodbye, tent. Hello, bed.

For the first time, IGNITE will have dedicated indoor lodging for the weekend.

Our group camp includes two air-conditioned dormitories with 24 twin bunk beds each, giving us sleeping space for up to 48 people. The dorms also have restrooms and showers, so our sleeping and basic facilities are all together in the group camp area. TPWD currently lists the facility for 48 overnight guests and confirms A/C, heat, and restrooms.

You’ll still get the communal retreat experience we love—just without having to crawl into a hot tent at the end of the night.

Bring your own bedding. You’ll need sheets or a sleeping bag appropriate for a twin mattress, along with your pillow, blanket, towels, and personal toiletries.

No tent. No air mattress. No sleeping in the Texas heat.
We loved our camping years—but we’re excited about this change. 😄

🛏️ A REAL BED

Twin bunk beds with mattresses are provided. Just bring your own bedding and pillow!

❄️ AIR CONDITIONING

Yes, really! Both dormitories are air-conditioned and heated.

🚿 SHOWERS & RESTROOMS

Restroom and shower facilities are located right in the barracks area. No more hiking to porta potties!

Where We’ll Gather

One space for meals, learning, laughter, and everything in between.

At the heart of our group camp is a dedicated dining and meeting hall, giving IGNITE an indoor home base for the entire weekend.

We’ll gather here for shared meals, classes and workshops, conversations, creative activities, and those wonderfully unplanned moments that happen when everyone ends up in the same place at the end of the day.

The hall includes tables and chairs for the group, along with a commercial kitchen equipped with a six-burner gas stove and oven, commercial refrigerator, chest freezer, prep tables, sinks, and a serving counter—giving us plenty of space to prepare and serve the meals included with your retreat registration.

And the gathering doesn’t have to stay indoors. The facility also includes a covered deck, picnic tables, outdoor grill and fire ring.

🍽️ MEALS TOGETHER

Meals are included with registration, and we’ll have our own dining space to sit down and eat together.

✨ SPACE TO GATHER

Classes, workshops, creativity, conversation, and community all have a dedicated indoor home when it’s too hot outside.

🌿 ROOM TO SPILL OUTSIDE

A covered deck and outdoor gathering areas let us take advantage of the park without giving up our home base.

Step Outside

Nature is still part of the experience.

Moving indoors doesn’t mean leaving nature behind.

Cleburne State Park surrounds us with wooded trails, limestone hills, wildlife, and the spring-fed waters of Cedar Lake. Between scheduled activities, you’ll have opportunities to step away, wander, sit by the water, explore a trail, or simply find a quiet place outside and be.

Because sometimes the most meaningful part of a retreat happens in the space between everything else.

🥾 WANDER

Explore wooded trails winding through limestone hills and the landscape surrounding Cedar Lake. Take a longer hike or simply wander until you find somewhere that asks you to stay awhile.

💧 COOL OFF

Cedar Lake has a designated swimming area—a particularly welcome option during a late-May weekend in Texas.

🌳 CONNECT

Spend time among the trees, watch for wildlife, notice what’s growing around you, and reconnect with the living world beyond our usual routines.

🌿 JUST BE

Journal. Meditate. Read. Sit beside the water. Talk with a friend. Watch the clouds. Take your shoes off and feel the earth beneath you. Or do absolutely nothing for a while.

You don’t have to do everything. That’s kind of the point.

What Should I Bring?

Pack Lighter. Sleep Better.

You can leave the tent, air mattress, and most of your camping gear at home this year. Our new lodging means packing for IGNITE looks a little different—but you’ll still want to come prepared for a weekend spent both indoors and outside.

FOR THE DORMS

  • Twin-size sheets or a sleeping bag
  • Pillow and blanket
  • Towels and washcloths
  • Personal toiletries
  • Comfortable sleepwear
  • Any medications or personal necessities

FOR THE RETREAT

  • Comfortable clothes for indoor and outdoor activities
  • Sturdy shoes for walking or trails
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Sunscreen and insect repellent
  • Swimsuit and lake towel if you’d like to swim
  • Journal and anything you enjoy using for personal spiritual practice
  • A flashlight or headlamp for getting around after dark

We’ll send registered participants a complete packing list before the retreat, including any updated recommendations based on the weather and planned activities.

Accessibility & Comfort

We want IGNITE to be as welcoming and accessible as we can reasonably make it. Our new venue offers indoor, air-conditioned lodging and gathering spaces, but the retreat also takes place in a state park where terrain and distances between spaces may vary.

If you have mobility, accessibility, sensory, dietary, sleeping, or other needs that may affect your retreat experience, please contact us before registering or as early as possible after registration. We’ll be happy to talk through the facilities and what accommodations may be possible.

A Different Kind of IGNITE

The tents may be gone. The retreat isn’t.

IGNITE is growing and changing, just as we are. Our new home gives us more comfort and more room to gather without losing the things that have always mattered: Reiki, nature, learning, laughter, connection, and community.

We’ll still spend time under the trees. We’ll still stay up talking later than we planned. We’ll still learn from one another, try new things, rest when we need to, and make memories together.

The setting is changing. The heart of IGNITE isn’t.
