All participants must read and agree to this liability waiver during registration for Wayfinding Retreats (“the event”).
I acknowledge this is a primitive camping event. As such, there are risks related to camping such as issues related to camping gear. There is also an inherent risk related to interactions with nature. Critters, uneven ground, trees, and weather are possible dangers which could cause injury or death.
By registering, I knowingly and freely assume all risks, both known and unknown. I also agree to do what I can to help minimize those risks. Further, if I observe any dangers, I agree to bring them to the attention of staff as soon as possible. In the event of an emergency, I authorize emergency medical treatment as necessary for myself and any registered minors.
For myself, my minors, and anyone acting on our behalf, I release and hold harmless from and against all claims, demands, and causes of action of every kind and character, without limit and without regard to the cause or causes thereof or the negligence of any party or parties, arising in connection with attending the event. This release applies to all involved with the event, including but not limited to the owner, helpers, teachers, land owners, kitchen witches, and anyone acting on their behalf. This release also applies to any injury, disability, death, or loss or damages to either person or property during or as a result of my attendance at the retreat. By registering, I assume full responsibility for my participation and agree to comply with all rules and regulations.
I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND IT. BY CONTINUING TO REGISTER FOR THE EVENT, I VOLUNTARILY CONSENT TO THE USE OF MY REGISTRATION AS AN ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE IN LIEU OF AN ORIGINAL SIGNATURE ON PAPER.
